Physician & Founder, WellKitchen

Hi, I'm
Dr. Jasmol

I am passionate about sustainable good health for all communities. On one end, that means teaching busy healthcare providers how to discuss dietary change with diverse patients. On the other, it means partnering with communities to learn and build the practical skills that make that change possible in their daily lives.

About

My path to WellKitchen

Get in touch →

For years, I noticed the same gap in clinical practice: we're good at telling people what to eat, but not always in a way that fits their circumstances and life. That conversation often gets a few rushed minutes in the exam room, and most physicians and healthcare providers are never taught how to have it, especially with patients facing barriers to access.

WellKitchen was built to close that gap, helping to bridge the food-related educational and practical needs of healthcare providers and the communities they serve.

This work is personal. My dad developed type 2 diabetes early, had a premature heart attack, and spent his last decade in declining health before passing away too early. He never got to hear about food as medicine in a way that would have resonated with him. I do this work so other families don't experience the same.

I encourage and support a plant-forward way of eating as one of the most effective, most overlooked tools we have against chronic disease, from farmers market demos and hands-on cooking classes rooted in diverse cuisines, to plant-based meal donations for community members experiencing food insecurity. I've also been honored to share this approach at national medical conferences and academic medical institutions.

If this work could support your community, professional organization, or academic institution, let's connect.
